FAQs
Common questions
I've got no hot water but heating still works - why?
On a combi this usually points to the diverter valve or flow sensor. On a system boiler it's often a motorised valve or cylinder stat. Either way it's almost always repairable.
Is it cheaper to repair or replace my hot water cylinder?
If the cylinder is sound and only the immersion, stat or valve has failed, repair is far cheaper. If the cylinder itself is leaking or badly scaled, replacement is the better answer.
Why is my hot water lukewarm at every tap?
Common causes are a failed thermostat, a partially open mixer valve somewhere on the system, or a scaled-up cylinder coil. Quick to diagnose on site.
Can you work on unvented cylinders?
Yes. We're G3 qualified and service, repair and replace unvented hot water cylinders to current regulations.
