Common questions
Do unvented cylinders need an annual service?
Yes. Annual servicing is a G3 requirement to keep most manufacturer warranties valid - and it keeps the safety components (PRV, expansion vessel, T&P valve) working correctly.
What size cylinder do I need?
It depends on bathrooms and household size. As a rough guide: 1 bathroom 150L, 2 bathrooms 180-210L, 3+ bathrooms 250L+. We'll confirm on a site visit.
Can I switch from a vented to an unvented cylinder?
In most homes yes - subject to incoming mains flow and pressure. We'll test both before recommending the change.
Will the cylinder work with a heat pump later?
If you're planning a heat pump in the next few years, fitting a high-output coil cylinder now saves replacing it again. We'll spec it accordingly.
